Boeing 777

Long-range widebody airliner · First flight 1994 · In service 1995

The Boeing 777 was the first airliner designed entirely on computer and Boeing's first fly-by-wire jet, a long-range widebody that proved two big engines could do the work of four.

Its GE90 engines are the largest jet engines ever flown, and the reliable, efficient "Triple Seven" became a workhorse of intercontinental fleets everywhere.
