The F-35 Lightning II is a single-engine, all-aspect stealth multirole fighter produced in three variants: conventional (A), short-takeoff/vertical-landing (B) and carrier (C).
More flying sensor than dogfighter, the F-35 fuses radar, electro-optical and electronic-warfare data into a single picture and shares it across the battlespace. It has become the backbone fighter for the United States and more than a dozen allied nations.
